As a Medical Assistant, you will join a team of MAs, RNs, LPNs, and Primary Care Providers to coordinate Primary Care services for a unique patient panel. The Medical Assistant will coordinate care in a team-based environment at* Goodwin Community Health* in Somersworth, NH. Goodwin Community Health is one of Greater Seacoast's two network locations of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs). Medical Assistants at Goodwin get the opportunity to cross-train into medical specialties such as Prenatal Care, Pediatric Care, and Medication Assisted Recovery (MAR) Care. These cross-training opportunities have helped many MAs set the course for future career growth within the medical field. GSCH offers a competitive hourly wage, tuition reimbursment options, and a sign-on bonus in the amount of $2,500.00 to be paid out over the first six months of hire.

Job Duties:
- Provides patient services such as chaperoning, collecting specimens and taking vital signs.
- Rooms patients in a courteous and timely manner.
- Prepares exam rooms for patient visits.
- Maintains supplies and equipment for patient services.
- Supports the patient in improving access to health resources and social services.
- Coordinates medical refills and lab orders under the direction of the Provider and/or Clinical Lead.
- Collaborates with all members of the care team to coordinate and manage patient care.
- Performs limited health screening procedures under the direction of the Provider and/or Clinical Lead, including some lab procedures.
- Participates in preparing patient charts.
- Assists with patient intake and discharge procedures as directed by Provider and/or Clinical Lead.
- Maintains HIPPA compliance at all times.
Qualifications:
- Education: M.A. Certification/Graduation Required
- Experience: Two years’ experience in an ambulatory setting preferred.
- Other: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
