SUMMARY:
The Regulatory Affairs Associate will be responsible for overall product safety and regulatory compliance for products. Works closely with regulatory team members worldwide to ensure product compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Acts as a regulatory consultant to ensure all products comply with applicable regulations and market needs (e.g., TSCA, FDA, NSF).
- Respond to internal and external product regulatory inquiries, including, e.g., EPA, FDA, OSHA / GHS, DOT, IATA, and IMDG questions.
- Maintains and improves systems, processes, and procedures for product compliance.
- Stays current on new and changing regulations. Analyzes and communicates impacts.
- Assists global team in classifying products, including GHS and DOT/dangerous goods.
- Review new products and/or changes to existing products for compliance.
- Collaborates with other functions as needed to ensure compliance.
- Prepares and submits product registrations or reports to regulatory bodies as assigned.
- Supports company implementation of Responsible Care® and product stewardship programs as assigned.
- Participates in industry associations as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Life Science, or related science preferred.
- Five to ten years of experience in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry.
- Advanced knowledge of TSCA, OSHA, and/or DOT regulations.
- Interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Proficiency in learning and use of digital tools.
