Kids’ Clubhouse Team Member – Job Description and Performance Expectations
The Kids’ Clubhouse is an important part of WAC and the community. Our main goal is to offer our members’ children a safe, clean and friendly environment while they enjoy their workout. As a Kids’ Clubhouse Team Member, you are responsible for providing quality care, keeping children safe, interacting with families and making sure everyone feels a sense of belonging. You must enjoy working with children from 6 weeks to 12 years old. You facilitate activities, story time, snack time, diaper changing, bottle feeding and cleaning tasks. This is not a behind the scenes position – you are on the front-line having fun and connecting with families via aggressive hospitality. You have an incredible opportunity to let your personality shine and grow within WAC.
Daily Operations
- Use smile, name and eye contact when greeting families.

Work a minimum of two shifts per week.

Conduct a daily walk through of the Kids’ Clubhouse to ensure proper working conditions.

Responsible for working or finding subs for all scheduled shifts. Inform Team Lead of any changes.

Attend department-specific Kids’ Clubhouse meetings.

Keep families informed of guidelines; say yes whenever possible.

Assist in preparing activities, story time and snacks.

Maintain cleanliness of Kids’ Clubhouse during all hours.

Ensure follow-up on all member complaints, suggestions and incident reports.

Implement all Kids’ Clubhouse policies and procedures.
Team
-
Catch fellow Team Members doing things right and hand out WAC Bucks.

Participate in 90-day review and ongoing Team Member evaluations.

Communicate concerns, suggestions and complaints to Team Lead.

Pursue ongoing personal and professional development and share what you learn with others.

Be available for regular communication with Team Members and Kids’ Clubhouse Team Lead.

Be a team player – strive to help out wherever and whenever possible.
Safety
-
Own and immediately resolve pool problems to ensure member and guest safety.

Know the Safety Plan and Emergency Action Plan.

Inspect for cleanliness and safety of the Kids’ Clubhouse, including the bathroom area.

Report any facility issues or broken equipment to Kids’ Club Team Lead, MOD or General Manager.

Clean, sanitize and organize all toys daily.

Maintain good standing for CPR certification.
-
Follow all insurance, liability and incident report procedures.

Report pool issues and broken pool equipment immediately to GM and Maintenance department.
Financial
-
Use common sense and best judgment when providing volume of snacks and art supplies.

Clock in and out during your scheduled shifts to ensure payroll accuracy.
Income Generation

Understand that the Kids’ Clubhouse is a vital department that helps sell many family memberships.

Up-serve or recommend additional services of interest to our members at point-of-sale.
Programming
-
Be visible and involved in Kids’ Clubhouse programs and activities.

Sign up for upcoming programs, activities and events to increase WAC product knowledge.
- Promote special events and programs, especially the ones in the Kids’ Clubhouse.

Utilize the Program Process when creating and evaluating programs and events.

Participate in community organizations and positive social media to actively promote club.
New Member Integration & Retention

Welcome all families to the club, engage with them and create memorable experiences.

Connect all families to the club via programs and activities.
-
Utilize the 5-foot rule – if you are within 5 feet of a family, engage them with a WAC greeting.

Be personally committed to fitness by actively going through the retention program sessions.
