Overview:
Busy boutique LA-based licensed General Contractor specialized in high-end residential construction seeks versatile, experienced Project Coordinator for single-family residential work. We are a friendly, sometimes hectic, small office.

This includes being punctual, regularly attending work, being courteous to coworkers, dressing appropriately (professional, business casual attire), following office protocols, maintaining positive interpersonal relationships and managing stress in constructive ways rather than criticism, aggression, or substance abuse. Proper office etiquette also entails avoiding personal matters at work and using work resources only for their intended purposes.
Duties:
- Assist Project Manager with administrative functions and processes, manage day-to-day activities for the project management team
- Maintain project calendar.
- Daily check-in and update project daily and weekly schedules. report findings and delays to GC and PM.
- Oversee and maintain in-house and site documentation, record keeping and plan room.
- Keep site plans orderly and up to date.
- Manage project profile and intake process.
- Organize and complete pre-construction checklist.
- Maintain weekly calendar goals.
- Create, distribute and track all RFIs, RFPs and submittals.
- Manage punch list and project close out.
- Order materials and services as required.
- Produce AIA bi-monthly billing.
- Assist site superintendents (2) as needed.
- Undertake project tasks as assigned.
Skills:
- 2+ years experience coordinating SFR projects (new construction and re-models) 3-4 years preferred.
- Strong scheduling experience a must.
- Strong organizational skills needed.
- Experience obtaining city/county permits.
- Experience preparing general and AIA bi-monthly billing.
- Candidate must be approachable, positive with pleasant demeanor, proactive, flexible, and experienced in multi-tasking while working under pressure.
- Candidate must maintain high productivity output while working independently or with limited supervision.
- Requires clear communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Flexible for overtime (extremely rare).
- Proficiency with creating (not just using) Google docs, sheets, Calendar, excel formulas, dynamic documents, fillable form, Zoo and Teams meeting and DocuSign. BlueBeam a plus but not required.
- Ability to work effectively in an office setting and a construction site environment.

Experience:
- Project Coordination: 2 years (required); 3-4 years preferred
- Construction Experience: 2 years (required); 3-4 years preferred
Education/Professional Associations/Certifications:
- High School degree required
- Associates degree or higher preferred
- Professional Certifications (CAP, MOS, OM, etc.) welcome.
Language Proficiency:
- English: Native/Bi-lingual proficiency
- Other languages: Helpful but not required
This is a project coordinator position (clerical and administrative duties only). Previous professional construction experience in a construction office setting as a project coordinator required.
