Position Overview:
The Accounting Manager is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. This role supervises a team of accounting and administrative staff and collaborates with other departments to support the overall financial health and strategic goals of the company.
Financial Management:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial records and transactions.
- Monitor cash flow, manage banking activities, and reconcile bank statements.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance reports.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Team Leadership:
- Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to the accounting & administrative team.
- Set performance objectives, monitor progress, and conduct performance evaluations.
- Maintain a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development.
- Assign and delegate tasks, ensuring efficiency and productivity within the department.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in accounting regulations.
Audit and Compliance:
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely financial reports to regulatory bodies, tax authorities, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor changes in accounting standards and regulations and implement necessary adjustments to accounting processes and procedures.
Other Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enter data into the general ledgers daily.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Conduct regular audits to identify areas of improvement and address any discrepancies.
- Prepare consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information.
- Assist management with important financial decisions.
- Oversee accounting processes including financial statements reporting, fixed assets, and other accounting activities.
- Establish and monitor internal controls and processes.
- Responsible for inventory controls and accuracy.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification is preferred.
- Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) in accounting, including previous managerial or supervisory roles.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems. Experience with financial analysis tools is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.

Pay: $70,000 - $90,000 per year
