Retirement Unlimited, Inc., a premier provider of Residential Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care is seeking an experienced Accountant to join the team!
The Accountant supports the Controller and Senior Accountant with all accounting functions, including performing analysis and completion of journal entries and account reconciliations in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), as well as local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
- Assist with monthly financial close.
- Prepare and process various journal entries, including accruals and prepaid amortizations.
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations as part of the monthly financial close, including cash reconciliations, accruals, prepaid and fixed assets.
- Notify Community Business Officer Managers (BOMs) of any returned checks or bank corrections.
- Track and process capital expenditure requests (CERs)
- Assist with annual audit requests, including providing documentation and reports.
- Prepare frequent cash balancing for community operating cash accounts to assist with cash flow reporting and forecasting.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or higher, along with three years of applicable accounting experience or a combination of appropriate education and experience.
- Financial analysis and reporting experience preferred with working knowledge and ability with all MS Office software.
