Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments to determine speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
- Provide speech therapy services to patients with various conditions, including but not limited to, speech and language delays, articulation disorders, fluency disorders, and swallowing difficulties
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and treatment goals
- Educate patients and their families on communication strategies and techniques
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state license or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working in a hospital or ICU setting preferred
- Knowledge of critical care procedures and protocols
- Strong patient assessment skills
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to speech and swallowing disorders
