Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, attributing to the success and driving company growth through strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Train, and manage a high-performing sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- -Develop and implement strategic plans to expand the company's customer base and ensure its strong presence.
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and evaluate customer needs.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
- Collaborate with the sales team to achieve sales targets and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits.
- Utilize software tools such as Salesforce, ZoomInfo, etc. for effective customer relationship management.
- Lead project management efforts to execute business development strategies effectively.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of (logistics industry specific) experience in business development, sales management, or a related role.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to build and lead successful sales teams
- Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of market trends, sales processes, and strategic planning
- Communication: Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strategic thinker with a focus on achieving business objectives
