The hospital also provides advanced imaging and “smart” operating rooms
Medical /Telemetry
4 South Medical Unit:
4 south is an 18-bed unit. Patients are generally here for general conditions such as CHF, COPD, or general illness.
Patient population can range from age 18-100
Average Length of stay is about 3 days for our patients.
Our staffing consists of:
5 nurses and 2 NCP on each shift when fully staffed. We have a charge nurse out of staffing who is available to assist any team member when needed.
CSA (customer service Associate) they are taskers and help with rounding on patients and supporting the team.
We also have an AA (administrative Associate) who manages flow and function of the unit.
Shifts:
Full time: Three 12-hour shift
Part time: Two 12 hours shifts.
Flexi: 4 shifts in a six-week schedule to include a weekend and one summer and one winter holiday.
All team members perform bedside shift report. You round with the off going team member and meet the patient and discuss any concerns they may have and the plan of the day.
Self-scheduling. A Schedule is for 6 weeks.

Quality outcomes are a high priority on our unit. Successful patients’ outcome is performed daily. We focus on HAI (hospital acquired Infection) by meeting as a leadership team to place attention on patients of focus to prevent HAI and improve outcomes.
4 South is a great unit to learn new skills as a Med/ Tele RN. You are exposed to multiple different morbidities which will help broaden your knowledge as a nurse. We welcome new nurses and are eager to share the knowledge of our highly experienced nurses.

Requirements - one of the following is required:
- Degree or Diploma from an accredited Registered Nursing Program
- Registered Nurse License
- Students in the process of completing an accredited nursing program
- Students in the process of obtaining a Registered Nursing License
