GADDIS & LANIER, LLC, is a premier, boutique law firm dedicated to advising and representing homeowner and condominium associations throughout the State of Georgia. We are looking to add a Collections/Litigation Attorney to our growing firm. Our ideal candidate has five to ten years of experience and must be licensed to practice law in Georgia. This position offers the opportunity to represent condominium and homeowner associations in collections and litigation matters. This position includes drafting complaints, motions and discovery pleadings, and attending court hearings and trials in Magistrate, State and Superior Courts throughout the State. This position requires a high-energy, confident attorney with a strong background in community association collections. If you possess exceptional problem-solving capabilities and are rigorously attentive to detail when managing a high volume of collection cases, you may be a great fit on our team. We need an attorney who can step in and execute on day one, so we will be strict on our requirement of direct experience as a licensed attorney focused on HOA collections in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities
· Manage the legal process for 100+ collection cases in the state of Georgia including lien filing, association lien foreclosure and judgement collection.
· Attend court hearings and act as lead counsel in litigation matters.
· Work with Collections Paralegals to track the status of lien filings and lawsuits, negotiate settlements and payment plans, and keep clients informed of the status of all Georgia collection files referred to our office.
· Solve complex collection situations and communicate effectively with clients and courts.
Skills/Aptitudes/Education/Training
· JD and license to practice law in the state of Georgia is required.
· 4+ years of experience conducting legal collection efforts on behalf of community associations in Georgia is a must.
· Flexible, solutions-oriented leadership style is a must.
· Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
· Exceptional attentiveness to detail and high-volume case management skills.
· Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
