Job Summary
This Position is for an Accounting Clerk that will support the Area. The Area spans over several locations across Colorado. The incumbent will manage accounts payable, assist with accounts receivable, fixed assets and help with month end tasks. You will support the field with any related accounts payable requests. These will include vendor setup, paying vendors timely, make sure accruals are in place for month end and run month end reports. You will also be expected to assist the billing manager with any AR tasks. Finally, you will manage the setup of fixed assets, transfers and disposals.
Essential Functions
Month End
· Make sure all POs are accrued properly for month end.
· Run and manage AP aging’s.
· Assist with month end billing reports.
· Book depreciation entries.
Accounts Payable and Account Receivable
· Ensure proper GL coding.
· Ensure proper cut off dates for Month End.
· Ensure accruals are done to capture transactions were distributed into correct months.
· Make sure reports are ran to ensure payments are processed and any outstanding accruals are investigated and resolved.
· Make sure client records are accurate and all work orders are in databases before client invoicing.
· Review Aging to ensure collections are accurate. Work with the collections team to make sure we are getting paid timely.
· Ensure all bill cycles are correct and work with field to improve Days Sales Outstanding.
· Run credit reports for new customers and approve any credit limit requests.
· Make sure the cash application process is good and we don’t have any unapplied payments monthly.
Fixed Assets
· Make sure all capital purchases have the proper approval prior to purchasing assets.
· Make sure all assets are recorded with proper useful life and monthly depreciation.
· Make sure all asset disposals have the proper approvals and asset gains or losses are recorded.
· Ensure any assets transferred to other locations are moved timely.
· Run monthly fixed asset registers for managers.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
