Senior Director of Technical Program Management
Role Overview:
As McAfee continues to evolve into a consumer-centric business, it is looking to mature and elevate its Product & Design organization into a strategic, proactive, and customer-obsessed arm of the business. McAfee’s SVP of Product & Design is seeking an experienced Senior Director of Technical Program Management to enhance and oversee day-to-day program management operations. This individual will be responsible for overseeing a team of Program Managers and leaders dedicated to understanding business needs and use cases, defining the strategic roadmap for product development, and ensuring its alignment with overall business objectives.
This is a Hybrid position located in San Jose, California. You should have the expectation to collaborate with the team in the office an average of 3 days per week. We are only considering candidates within a commutable distance to the San Jose, California, office and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.
About the role:
About you:
12+ years of experience in a software/technical program or engineering management experience, consulting, and/or an executive role
Relevant program management certifications, such as PMI Agile-Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) and Scaled Agile Framework
Deep experience in:
Leading large technical and complex programs across cross-functional teams, from concept through execution
Leading teams through change and transformation
Managing the product development lifecycle, with ability to adjust and apply this knowledge in a dynamic environment using agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, ClickUp)
Managing changing specifications or standards, creating conditions in which teams feel comfortable and capable of working in response to ambiguity
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to articulate concepts and rationale to stakeholders at all levels
Focus on execution, follow-through, accountability, and results
Proactive problem-solver with a growth mindset, self-motivation, and results orientation
High emotional intelligence and self-awareness
