Description:
Twelve-month, full-time faculty position designed for students who are seeking licensure as marriage and family therapists under the requirements of the State of California Board of Behavioral Sciences. The successful candidate will teach, develop curricula, and research in the area of family therapy and psychotherapy.
Specialization: MA in Clinical Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy
Responsibilities:
- Teach marriage and family courses such as family therapy, couples counseling, child and adolescent psychotherapy, basic intervention skills, group skills, and other areas of training virtually, in-person, or in a hybrid format
- Participate in the life of the department and university as required
- Attend monthly and/or semi-monthly department meetings virtually or in-person
- Assist in selection processes of new applicants to the MFT program
- Participate in the curricular development and assessment development of the MFT Program
- Contribution of expertise and knowledge to the department, university, and local community, as well as contribution to the holistic development of MFT students
- May be needed to work at alternative Regional Campuses or Sites.
Level: Assistant/Associate/Full Professor
Qualifications: Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. Experience as a licensed clinician and/or prior teaching experience strongly preferred
Experience: Marriage and Family Therapist education, clinical experience, and/or other adjunctive training
Workload: Full-time faculty position

Compensation:
$66,560 to $125,460 is the annual salary for this role and reflects what Azusa Pacific University reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation may vary based on the qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition to compensation, APU offers a competitive benefits package.
Compensation will be based on experience, rank, and qualifications.
