The OBGYN Residency Program Manager oversees the operations and logistics of residency program within the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology to ensure the highest educational quality of the training programs and ensures compliance; Collaborates with appropriate department leadership including Academic Operations Manager and Residency Director and Associate Directors to implement new initiatives and to align with Graduate Medical Education guidelines; Development and implementation of all residency budgets in collaboration with Vice Chair of Education, Department Administrator and Academic Operations Manager in addition to oversight of travel stipends for PGY3 & 4’s to remain fiscally responsible; Provides directives and administers programs and activities to the Graduate Medical Education Specialist 2; Provides oversight with developing and implementing educational goals and course requirements; Interprets and enforces program policies and procedures; Annually reviews and evaluates program curriculum in collaboration with leadership and GME Specialist 2; Identifies areas in the curriculum that require revision and improvement and recommends updates; Ensures compliance to national medical education and fellowship training requirements and regulations; oversees fellow performance and faculty teaching evaluation activities; Manages the coordination of special events including resident graduation, yearly resident retreat, education and training didactics, lectures, and conferences; Implements curricular development to meet all national standards; Oversees the design and development of course objectives, handouts and all instructional materials associated with the fellowship programs; Oversight of all databases and program websites as well as the organization of the didactic schedule and management of all course evaluations; Helps achieve organizational metrics and compliance for residency program.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree in relevant field may be desirable. 4 years of relevant experience required. 4-8 years of relevant experience preferred.
