Barclay Friends is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shift Supervisor to join our team. As a Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our establishment and ensuring exceptional customer service. Essential Functions:
1. Ensures a high-quality meal service by monitoring and supervising all front of the house staff on shift Coordinates and Supervises daily meal service.
2. Supervises the physical appearance of the dining areas including table chairs, rugs, drapes, flooring tiles, light fixtures, etc.
3. Supervises the Performance of front of the house staff and maintain adequate staffing for the Front of the house: Works in conjunction with the Culinary Manager to train, coach, counsel and discipline staff (while maintaining appropriate documentation as required.)
4. Assures staff are properly oriented and trained by working with the Culinary Manager to assure effective staff coverage, identifies training needs for new and existing staff, training or cross-training staff as needed.
5. Ensures that the locations are stocked adequately by overseeing pre and post meal side work in accordance with each scheduled shift.
6. Conduct Department required audits.
7. Ensures the Culinary Services department meets all standards in accordance with State and Federal Health Survey Process. Ensures Culinary Services personnel are trained in and carry out efforts in this process;
Qualifications
Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma or G.E.D. Must have worked in a food service setting for 1 year and willing to obtain Serv Safe certification.
