Will make general repairs to the process equipment, auxiliary equipment, support equipment, building repairs & general grounds in a food production environment. General repairs are considered mechanical, minor electrical (remove and replace motors, fuses, switches, contactors, starters, & connections), hydraulic, pneumatic repairs and replacements as dictated by the process environment. Will perform emergency maintenance repairs to plant equipment. Will demonstrate a thorough understanding of production processes and be trainable in the understanding of current & future technology as it relates to the production process and overall facility. Will demonstrate a working knowledge of electricity and be able perform general electrical repairs & read electrical schematics. Will demonstrate good judgment & decision-making skills in the performance of duties. Involves climbing ladders both stationary (to roof or silo’s) and portable, sitting, driving mobile equipment & motor vehicles, stooping, squatting, bending, pulling, and lifting at least 50lbs floor to waist and waist to overhead. Also involves, sweeping, shoveling, raking, walking, reaching overhead, kneeling, grabbing, pushing, and overall physical exertion. Involves listening, watching, observing, reading, writing & understanding the English language.
Experience with dicing machines and Bosch packaging machines preferred.
