Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to all customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Scan and bag items, and process payments using the point of sale (POS) system
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Answer customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional and timely manner
- Assist with stocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels as needed
- Upsell products and promote special offers to maximize sales opportunities
Requirements:
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate with customers
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Prior experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in using a point of sale (POS) system is a plus
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is a bonus, but not required
- Strong time management skills to ensure efficient operations at the checkout counter
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
