Position Overview:
The Asset Log Manager leads the Asset Log Group, ensuring the accurate tracking and management of company assets in alignment with organizational goals. Responsibilities include overseeing the documentation and maintenance of asset records, conducting regular physical audits, and generating detailed reports on asset utilization and lifecycle status. The manager ensures compliance with company policies and industry standards, while coordinating with various departments to facilitate efficient asset management processes. They identify and implement process improvements, provide training, and support to staff, and ensure the confidentiality and security of asset data. By performing these duties, the Asset Log Manager plays a crucial role in optimizing the use of company resources and maintaining the integrity of the asset management system.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Must be able to comprehend and use various web applications and the Road Log Process.

Answer phones, type correspondences, and file various road log documents.

Complete research on any road, bridge, or asset that involves the Architecture & Engineering Division of the Public Infrastructure Department as requested by various departments in a timely manner.

Make corrections and changes to. county assets in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Prepare correspondence to add roads to the system with the necessary research involved.

Disseminate information to the public and to other governmental agencies.

Merge historical Asset Log documents and coordinate scanning of the same.

Handle inquiries from internal departments and external stakeholders regarding assets related to road log.

Provide accurate and timely information and documentation as needed.

Proofread all road log forms to ensure accuracy.

Implement and oversee quality control processes for road log related asset management activities.

Implement and maintain measures to protect the confidentiality and integrity of asset data, including access controls and regular data backups.

Offer training sessions for staff on asset management procedures, use of asset tracking systems, and best practices for maintaining asset records.

Perform all duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent with Three (3) years of relevant experience with county, city, or state departments.
OR
-
Bachelor's degree with one (1) year of Relevant experience with county, city, or State departments.
Knowledge, Skill & Abilities (KSAs):

Must possess the ability to operate basic office equipment, prepare written business correspondence, and be able to work on multiple tasks within firm timeline constraints with great attention to detail.

Must have working knowledge of computers and proficiency in the use of Adobe Acrobat Professional, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Must possess a high level of interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact effectively with all office personnel including other county department personnel, the public, and other governmental agencies.

Must have familiarity with relevant laws, regulations and industry standards governing infrastructure asset management.

Must have strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills in maintaining records and files.

Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances, new technologies, and evolving organizational needs.

Ability to work in a team environment.

Ability to read engineering drawings is a plus.

Position Type, and Typical Hours of Work:

Full-Time | Regular | 40 hours per week.

Hybrid schedule: Three days in the office and two days working from home.

Subject to early mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays at times, depending upon the project or workload.
Salary:

Commensurate with experience, based on 26 pay periods.
Physical Demands and Environmental Exposure:
Most assignments will be performed in an office, meeting, or operations command center environment, but some field work may be required. May be required to work extended work hours during activation of disaster recovery operations for an unspecified length of time (varies based on the extent of the event).
This position requires bending, stooping, and lifting up to 25 lbs., frequent walking, standing, sitting, reaching, and ascending/descending stairs.
