The Position: We are seeking to fill a Maintenance Mechanic position. We are looking for someone to perform tasks related to the maintenance, repair, and modification of buildings, equipment, and common areas of SHA. For additional information on the job, please see the full posting.

The ideal candidate has:

High school diploma or equivalent
-
At least 2 years of experience in building/apartment maintenance or equivalent
-
Specialized training in at least one field of maintenance
-
Valid Washington state driver’s license with an insurable driving record
What will you do?

Perform a variety of property maintenance repair tasks, such as sink and p-trap replacement, basic electrical repair, switch and outlet replacement, drywall repair, etc., in occupied and vacated units, and other related tasks in the full turn of vacate units

Perform or assist with various inspections

Make repairs to areas of interior or exterior painting

Repair and replace window hardware

Clean and perform minor repair of roofs, gutters, and downspouts
