Position Summary
Maintains; repairs and installs factory machinery as well as performing building maintenance for the benefit of the manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Installs equipment and machinery as required
· Ensuring compliance of all company policies and OSHA rules while conducting work functions
· Performs preventative maintenance on all factory equipment and machinery
· Responsible for the effective management of TPM program for factory machinery and equipment
· Responsible for maintaining records of service cycles and all other maintenance tasks conducted through an effective Work Order system (Work performed, Spare Parts usage, Time taken, etc.)
· Performs necessary repairs and installations in accordance with company requirements
· Responsible for the purchase and inventory of all maintenance supplies, hardware, tools, machine/building replacement parts, and existing equipment issued, or purchased by the company
· Assists in development of policies, procedures and work instructions for maintenance functions as required.
· Must be able to perform all other job-related functions assigned by the company
Skills and Specifications
· Previous experience as a maintenance mechanic or similar role.
· Great understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanics.
· Ability to repair Amada Turrets a plus.
· Problem-solving and organizational skills.
· Should have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, written correspondence, and materials such as schematics or drawings, written in English.
· Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to employees of the organization.
· Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines.
· Be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint tools, and preferably have experience with CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management Systems) software.
Education & Qualifications
· Minimum of high school degree, diploma or GED equivalent qualification from a certified college, preferably with a Bachelors or Associates degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering
· 5 years related experience in general mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, PLC, computer software and relevant applications is necessary.
