Responsibilities:
Our office provides accounting services for numerous small businesses. This includes gathering information from clients check stubs, bank accounts, credit card statements, and cash receipts to produce an income statement. We provide payroll services which includes preparing payroll checks and filing payroll taxes. Being able to handle any notices that may come in from Federal and State agencies would also be required. Therefore professional writing and communication skills are also needed.
Requirements:
-A SOLID understanding of payroll forms 941, 940, NJ927, WR30, W2, W3. This is a must as it is an integral part of the job.
-Be able to file sales tax for multiple states.
-Prepare and file forms 1099 and 1096.
- Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
