Overview:
The Director of Development Events is responsible for creating an annual Development events plan, ensuring high-quality execution that aligns with the school's goals for donor stewardship and community relations. They explore and implement innovative promotional strategies to meet attendance and participation goals, while managing the annual budget for these events. They oversee and execute the Zig Ziglar Servant Leadership Award Dinner, handling all aspects from communications to sponsorships and vendor relationships. They also plan and execute North Texas Giving Day and coordinate development events across both the Plano and North campuses. Additionally, they organize key events such as Grandparents Day, Football Tailgate dinners, and Donor Appreciation Dinners, maintaining high standards and adherence to PCA's protocol. Other responsibilities include venue management, supporting the Annual Fund activities, and performing additional tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Events and Event Management:

Collaboratively with leadership, and others within the Office of Development to create an annual plan of events.

Explore and implement creative ideas and plans for promoting events, achieving attendance goals and participation.

Prepare and manage the annual budget for events that support the overall objectives of PCA’s Office of Development

Serve as the lead regarding the Zig Ziglar Servant Leadership Award Dinner. This includes giving oversight to all communications strategies, relationships with vendors and programmatic considerations and recommendations.
- Plan and execute North Texas Giving Day for both Plano and North

Serve as the coordinator for both Development events at Plano and North Campus.
- Provide leadership, professional expertise and direction in the planning and execution of high quality events and functions; identify and facilitate discussion and decisions concerning issues affecting events, and ensure that all events reflect Prestonwood Christian Academy’s commitment to excellence.

Plan collaboratively with leadership, and others within the Office of Development to create an annual plan of events that maximizes potential impact and benefits in critical areas of donor stewardship and recognition and community relations.

Identify and participate in discussion and decision-making about strategies, opportunities, potential conflicts and other issues relating to the successful production of events.

Develop and maintain records of all campus-wide venues, including details on specific capabilities of each venue. Serve as a resource for venue point person, providing expertise and insight on recommended venues for event needs.

Organize and lead Grandparents Day, Football Tailgate dinners, Donor Appreciation Dinners, Future Campaign dinners for Plano and North
- Develop and maintain highly professional standards and procedures for production of events in keeping with the image and reputation of Prestonwood Christian Academy. Serve as a resource for matters of PCA protocol (e.g., event format, image projection, etiquette to be observed

Prepare and manage the annual budget for events that support the overall objectives of PCA’s Office of Development.

Support the team as it relates to activities/events that support the Annual Fund, and the Zig Ziglar Servant Leadership Award Dinner.

Physical, Mental Requirements and Work Environment:

Regularly sitting at the computer requiring repetitive finger motion and manual dexterity

Up to several hours of walking and standing during events

Subject to working more than required hours during certain events
- Ability to manage multiple coinciding projects

Close visual acuity required for viewing a computer monitor, preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing and reading

Hearing – ability to perceive sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction

Talking – expressing ideas by means of the spoken word to convey instructions to students, parents and other workers

Ability to communicate effectively, even in stressful situations

Professional appearance and dress required, as this person is often the “host” of PCA-wide meetings and events
