HRU Technical Resources is seeking a Windchill PLM Programmer to assist a large multinational defense corporation located in Sterling Heights, MI.
Type of Role: 6 Month Contract (Likely extension OR Direct Hire)
Schedule: On site1st Shift (9/80 schedule)
Compensation: $55.00-$57.00/HR
Description: Join our experience and creative team to build applications that support the development of advanced technology and optimize processes to bring products to market. The Programmer Analyst will help enhance PLM capabilities, support AS9145 processes, and unite engineering development artifacts into a “digital thread” to establish a Model Based Engineering (MBE) capability.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Build and support PLM capabilities such as Bill of Material (BOM) management and change management.
- Create new capabilities and extend those from the PLM vendor.
- Enhance the environment to support AS9145 processes.
- Develop an integrated model between Computer Aided Design (CAD) systems and the PLM central database.
- Integrate systems using web services and database connections.
- Upgrade PLM environments to maintain supportability and compliance
- Install new releases, explore new features, and plan upgrade processes.
- Analyze infrastructure components and services underpinning the PLM environment, including RHEL servers, TomEE, JavaScript, REST APIs, Java programs, and log mining.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent in engineering or software development
- 5+ years of implementing PLM solutions
- 3+ years of Java, JavaScript, and RESTful
- Preferred knowledge of PTC Windchill
