You will manage department staff and functions on a daily basis. Assuming a high level of responsibility for daily, weekly, and monthly activities of the department, you’ll orient staff, coordinate department in-services, topics and speakers based on educational needs, and coordinate department processes with other department supervisors.

Position: Supervisor of Patient Access
Shift: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 8 hour shift during day shift (flexible pending office staffing). Monthly on-call component (weekend or 3rd shift availability required).
Experience:
1. Knowledge of registration computer systems required.
2. Minimum of 1 year training of clerical staff preferred.
3. Strong communication and analytical skills required.
4. Strong customer service background and solid computer skills required.
5. Minimum 5 years healthcare experience required;
6. Minimum 2 years independent decision-making in a healthcare organization required.
Education:
1. Working knowledge of medical terminology and ICD-9 coding required.
2. Minimum of high school degree or equivalent required.
3. Associate degree preferred.
