Examples of Duties (includes but is not limited to the following):
- Ensure meeting rooms appearance are meeting and exceeding standards as well as maintaining compliance with all health and safety regulations at all times
- Direct and verify the proper set-up and break down of all function areas as required by banquet event orders
- Work with the Banquet, Catering, and Meeting room facilities for any Housekeeping or Engineering needs and report deficiencies to appropriate department
- Check tables arrangements, glassware, chairs, staging, and linen needed for all events
- Monitor inventories of all required materials and order as necessary
- Constant inspection and evaluation of banquet rooms
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned
Position Requirements:
- Ability to speak, read, write and understand English
- Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment
- Strong customer service experience, interpersonal, and communication skills are required
- Strong analytical, decision-making and problem- solving skills
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to be flexible, adaptable and responsive to change
Education:
- Associate, Bachelor’s and /or Culinary degree preferred
Typical Physical / Mental Demands:
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods
- Must be able to kneel, bend, stoop, crouch
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy
- Must use hands to reach, grasp, handle, pull and push
- Ability to lift, carry, pull and push up to 75 lbs intermittently throughout a shift
- Must have good near and far vision
- Must be able to hear, talk, smell
- If applicable, must have the ability to work for extended time periods in an outdoor environment, including sun, heat, cold, wind, rain, and higher than normal noise levels
