We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Service Dispatcher. The Service Dispatcher role is responsible for the coordination/scheduling of Service Technicians, customer interaction/receiving and planning service visits, and general service administrative functions of a Service Department. This position requires computer skills, excellent organizational skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, time management/multi-tasking abilities, and excellent customer service skills. Responsibilities:
– Answer incoming service calls and gather necessary details from customers regarding their HVAC issues and requests.
– Schedule and dispatch HVAC technicians to customer locations based on priority, location, and availability.
– Monitor technicians’ schedules and progress throughout the day to ensure timely arrivals and job completions.
– Communicate with customers to provide updates on technician arrival times and any changes or delays.
– Coordinate with the Parts Department to ensure that necessary parts and equipment are available for scheduled jobs.
– Maintain accurate records of all dispatched jobs, including job details, technician assignments, and completion times.
– Provide support and assistance to technicians in the field by answering questions and addressing any issues or concerns.
– Work with technicians and management team to review and process payroll accurately.
– Provide administrative support for Service Manager and Project Manager.
– Assist with general office duties such as filing, data entry, and maintaining customer records.
Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent.
– Previous experience in a dispatch or customer service role.
– Strong organizational and time-management skills.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Proficient with computer systems and software, including scheduling software.
– Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions.
– Familiarity with HVAC systems and terminology is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $36,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
