JOB SUMMARY: Banquet Set-up/Food Runner
As a Banquet Set-up/Food Runner, your primary responsibility is to ensure the meticulous set-up of club banquets as well as run-food when designated to. This includes setting up, maintaining, and cleaning the banquet space, as well as assisting in food service as a runner.
Below is a detailed outline of your duties:
- Event Setup and Breakdown: Complete the final breakdown of banquet functions, including cleaning the room and returning equipment to its proper location. This involves storing reusable goods, locking doors, and breaking down event materials.
- Work Area Maintenance: Set up, stock, and maintain work areas, ensuring they are clean, organized, and properly stocked throughout the event.
- Cleanliness and Sanitation: Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas. This includes transporting dirty linen to the correct area for cleaning, separating napkins from tablecloths, and restocking linen shelves with clean linens.
- Assist with Food Service: As part of your duties, you will serve as a food runner, assisting in the timely delivery of dishes to guests. This requires coordination with kitchen staff and other service personnel to ensure optimum service.
- Safety and Security: Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures. Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe work conditions to the manager. Complete required safety training and certifications.
- Professionalism: Maintain a clean and professional appearance, adhere to company standards, and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
- Communication and Teamwork: Speak with others using clear and professional language. Support the team to reach common goals and ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
- Physical Requirements: Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance and objects weighing in excess of 75 pounds with assistance. Perform tasks requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
