The HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting various human resource functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR best practices and labor laws, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment and Onboarding:
· Coordinate the full-cycle recruitment process including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and hiring.
· Conduct new hire orientations and ensure a smooth onboarding process.
· Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
2. Employee Relations:
· Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
· Mediate and resolve conflicts among employees and between employees and management.
· Foster a positive work environment and promote employee engagement.
3. Performance Management:
· Assist in the development and implementation of performance appraisal programs.
· Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on performance-related issues.
· Coordinate training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills and performance.
4. Benefits Administration:
· Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
· Conduct benefits orientation and assist employees with benefits-related questions.
· Ensure compliance with all applicable benefits laws and regulations.
5. Compliance and Recordkeeping:
· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases.
· Prepare and submit required reports related to HR activities and compliance.
6. Policy Development:
· Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
· Communicate and enforce company policies to ensure consistent application.
7. HR Projects and Initiatives:
· Participate in HR projects and initiatives to improve HR processes and employee experience
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
· 3-5 years of experience in a similar HR role.
· Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
· Proficiency in HRIS and other HR-related software.
· Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
· SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
