A Mechanic must be always be on time, dependable, safe and able to work 8 to 10 hours on their feet and lead other team members.

Knowledgeable Manufacturing Controls ISO 9000 or SQF Food Safety, Good Manufacturing Principles and Lean or Six Sigma
Maintenance Technician:
Hudson River Foods is seeking a motivate and talented maintenance / automated packaging Mechanic with a high degree of troubleshooting and problem-solving ability to adjust, repair and maintain all aspects of our production, auxiliary equipment and facilities. The technician will work with a variety of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and controls. Superior logical-thinking and troubleshooting skills are critical. This position is critical to the safe and efficient operation of the facility. Maintenance mechanics without food or electrical experience will be considered but experience with automated machinery in a food manufacturing facility or working on 480V three phase electrical automated equipment is a definite plus.
Requirements:
- Safety: Ensuring the complete physical safety of oneself and one’s co-workers at all times without exception
- Inspect machinery: Knowledge of check machine equipment for proper performance and detect faults and malfunctions. Diagnose malfunctions using testing equipment to determine the required repair.
- Write technical reports: compose technical reports understandable for people without a technical background.
- Perform machine maintenance: Familiarity with performing regular maintenance, possibly including corrections and improvements on a machine or machine tool to ensure it remains in a proper productive state.
- Time Management: Showing up on time, reliably completing tasks by the deadlines, and adapting to changes in deadlines and priorities with minimal supervision.
- Comprehension: Ability to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions and possess basic mathematical skills.
- Coordination: Working well with others to meet team goals and adjusting to important changes.
- Communicating effectively with operators and supervisors in English, Spanish is a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Receive and check incoming paper work orders
- Set up Machines, Calibrate Weights and Position Product
- Monitor Machine Operation and down stream team
- Keep records of completed orders
- Maintain equipment and report on malfunctions
- Adhere to health and safety policies and quality standards
Skills
- Proven experience as Plant Machine Mechanic or Other industries experiance is OK
- Experience handling forklifts, pallets jacks and other warehouse equipment
- Able to read and write in English (speaking Spanish a Plus)
- Great attention to detail
- Diligent and punctual
- Good physical strength and stamina
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
