- Remains current on business trends and local activities and responds to the same.
- Prepares annual budgets for all departments and assures that all supervisors operate within their approved budget.
- Reviews actual hotel performance against budgeted performance and prepares budget variance form explaining budget deviations.
- Directs appropriate actions to correct unsatisfactory areas.
- Maintains compliance with company policies, practices, procedures and safety standards.
- Monitors on a daily basis the staffing, operations and appearance of all areas of responsibilities.
- Conducts monthly staff meetings.
- Confers, cooperates, communicates with immediate supervisors to resolve operating problems and ensures coordination of property activities.
- Selects, trains, evaluates, and motivates subordinate supervisors and employees.
- Provides guidance and direction to subordinate supervisors and employees.
- Reviews and approves personnel recommendations of subordinate supervisors in compliance with established realm of authority.
- Implements personnel actions, including employee counseling sessions, reprimands, performance appraisals, and terminations.
- Reviews all customer complaints and disseminates complaints to appropriate departments for corrective actions.
