Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Finance or related field
· 5+ Years of Commercial Construction Experience or Knowledge (Preferred)
· 2+ Years of Commercial Experience as a Project Estimator working for General Contractor (Required)
· Construction Bidding Experience with Projects ranging in size from small interior fit outs to large scale developments
· Experience with Both Ground up Construction and Interior Fit outs
· Excellent Computer Skills
· Proficient with Bluebeam takeoff software
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint)
· Proficient with Procore Project Management Software
· Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills
· Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skill
· Strong Attention to Detail
· Ability to handle large volumes of work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
· Experience with both Union and Nonunion Construction
· OSHA 30 Certification (Not Required but a plus – Will be required to secure a company provided OSHA 10 upon hiring)
· Foundation Accounting Knowledge (Not Required)

Job Description:
The Commercial Construction Estimator supports the company’s senior staff to manage and oversee the preconstruction phase of the projects. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a comprehensive understanding of construction methods and materials. This role is responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with construction projects, ensuring profitability and client satisfaction. You will be working directly with our head of construction and ownership to ensure complete accuracy of the bidding process.
· Adhere to company’s safety programs, trainings, and policies, as well as promote and manage the Safety & Health performance of project team members and subcontractors.
· Provide direction and participate in project planning, scheduling, estimating, cost development, and establishing critical project objectives.
· Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
· Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
· Conduct site visits and assessments to identify potential challenges and opportunities for cost savings.
· Utilize estimating software and tools to generate detailed cost breakdowns, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead.
· Prepare and present cost estimates to clients, explaining assumptions and methodologies used in the estimation process.
· Review and analyze subcontractor bids to ensure competitiveness and adherence to project requirements.
· Work closely with project managers and construction teams to monitor project costs and provide ongoing support as needed.
· Continuously update and refine estimating procedures and databases to improve accuracy and efficiency.
· Help to Manage Existing Client Relationships with ongoing Project Leaders
· Participate in risk review process.
· Responsible for facilitating project cost reporting, scheduling, work breakdown structure establishment, project set-up and closeout.
· Provide performance feedback for each project team member as requested to their respective Department Managers.
· Develop and implement project labor agreements with building trades as required.
· Work to create project schedule with leaders and project managers
· Complete buyout of project with senior level leaders and Project Managers to ensure a smooth transition
· Daily Morning Coordination with Senior Level positions to discuss ongoing bids
· Client Facing and will need to be able to speak knowledgeably and comfortably about all items related to project
