Our team of pastry chefs at the Village Baker are the heart of fresh, delicious pastry supply in Spring Lake and much of West Michigan! We are looking for STRONG team members to help us with production. You will need to be adaptable and driven. Our team takes great pride in their product and are always looking to raise the bar in quality and taste. Pastry school students or graduates preferred and previous experience in a bakery or professional kitchen is required. You must have good basic math skills to handle measurement conversions.
Our Pastry department is responsible for making and baking scones, muffins, cookies, pies, cakes ,etc. Candidate must have previous experience as a Pastry Cook in a professional kitchen. Must be able to stand for long periods of time, lift 50 pounds, work in a clean sanitary manner and be able to multitask. This position also requires working some early morning shifts.
