This position allows remote reporting three days per week with two required days of onsite reporting.

Summary:
The Administrative Assistant to the Career and Technical Education Supervisor will report to the West Chester or Cheswick office and work closely with the Supervisor of Career and Technical Education. This position entails handling general office duties such as making phone calls, filing documents electronically and physically, coordinating calendars, and participating in meetings to expand the Dual Enrollment, Career and Technical Centers, and Professional Studies Programs at PALCS. This position will also require frequent compilation of data and program metrics that will be reported to the Chiefs, Directors, Board, and the Academic Leadership Team. In addition, the Assistant to the Supervisor of Career and Technical Education will also be responsible for attending and participating in the annual Data Summit and the State of the Union event.
Essential Duties:
The ideal candidate will be comfortable and energetic in supporting the Supervisor of Career and Technical Education Coordinator in all aspects of the Career and Technical Education programs and department
Attend meetings with PALCS stakeholders and/or with outside organizations to plan for and implement CTE Programs at PALCS
Meet with PALCS students and parents to discuss CTE Programs and answer questions
Communicate with PALCS students and parents via telephone or phone to share important information regarding CTE Programs and participation
Detailed record-keeping of communication with PALCS students and/or parents
Input grades and/or other student data into computer application programs
Participation in State and Standardized Student Testing
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
High school diploma required
Some college experience preferred
Previous experience in nonprofit events organization and/or working in a school environment is a plus
Ability to think outside the box when it comes to problem-solving and strategizing
Enthusiastic and outgoing
A passion for driving change
High degree of organization, both in time and project management
The ability to communicate effectively by adapting communication styles to a wide variety of audiences
Ability to correspond quickly and professionally (phone, fax, e-mail) with staff and Executive Leadership
Ability to plan & coordinate meetings
Assist with special projects in a timely and confidential manner
Proficient in Microsoft Office; Experience in WordPress / Publisher / Outlook a plus
