Position Overview: We are seeking a Business Development Manager focused on Federal Operations and Maintenance (O&M) contracts. This role is pivotal in identifying, pursuing, and securing federal contracts that align with our strategic goals and capabilities nationwide.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategies to capture federal O&M contracts, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Manage the entire acquisition pipeline, from initial identification of opportunities through to proposal submission and contract award.
- Utilize contract intelligence to inform decision-making and optimize pursuit efforts.
- Conduct thorough analysis of labor and material pricing to ensure competitive yet profitable bids.
- Lead the development of compelling proposals that highlight our capabilities and competitive advantages.
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the federal sector, including government agencies and prime contractors.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure seamless transition from contract acquisition to project execution.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in business development within the federal O&M contracting space; ideally 5-10 years.
- Proven track record of successfully securing federal O&M contracts.
- Strong understanding of federal contract administration, including FAR regulations and compliance.
- Experience in managing and forecasting acquisition pipelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive proposals and presentations.
- Willingness to travel occasionally (up to once per month) as needed.
Location: This position offers the flexibility to work from home with regular updates and meetings via Microsoft Teams. Projects are nationwide, and occasional travel may be required.
Salary: Salary for this position will be competitive and commensurate with experience. We are committed to ensuring fair compensation based on the candidate’s qualifications and salary expectations, with a maximum salary cap of $150,000 per year.
