Position Summary
Must be available to work Fridays and Saturdays from 7:30am - 3pm.
The Receptionist must provide superior customer service and educational guidance to customers. The Receptionist must enter the appropriate information in the ADP/POS system, and scan each guest's government-issued photo ID. The Receptionist must maintain an organized environment and facility appearance.
Required Experience, Education and Skills
Experience in a retail sales or hosting environment is preferred. Accurate data entry and record keeping. Ability to answer a multi-phone line system. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management abilities. Superior customer service skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment. Proficiency in Windows-based software, Point-of-Sale software, and Internet navigation. Knowledge of current marijuana policies and state laws. Ability to make decisions as necessary with oversight when needed.
Core Job Duties & Tasks
- Customer service and facility upkeep:
- Greet customers as they enter the dispensary. Enter customer information accordingly and check the customer in.
- Maintain customer traffic flow, minimize wait times, and maximize sales and customer or registered cardholder satisfaction;
- Respond to and resolve customer requests, complaints, or compliments in person, through email, and on the phone-requesting supervisor or managerial support as needed;
- Maintain organization of the lobby through daily upkeep and light cleaning; The specific duties are listed on your Daily Checklist.
- Cannabis education and guidance:
- Maintain knowledge of all products and services provided, as well as applicable state and local laws;
- Educate customers on consumption options and methods, strain information, medicinal effectiveness for specific ailments, and cultivation methods;
- Provide educational materials and resources for customers as needed;
Job Skills

Job Scope
Operates with direct supervision from the general manager. Follows established policies and procedures, and contributes to the development of new concepts, policies, and procedures as necessary to perform job duties and tasks.
