Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Housekeeping to oversee the cleaning and maintenance of the Snowmass Club and its Residences. The ideal candidate will ensure all facilities are impeccably maintained to provide owners, members, and guests with a best-in-class experience.
Essential Functions
Leadership:

Promotes a positive and productive work environment.

Hire, lead, train, and manage a team of housekeeping staff.

Develop and implement housekeeping policies and procedures.
-
Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met.
-
Schedule staff shifts and manage labor resources efficiently.

Handle performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and staffing issues.
Facility Maintenance:

Oversee the cleanliness and upkeep of the Club and Residences.
-
Coordinate with the maintenance team for timely repairs and upgrades.
-
Implement and monitor a comprehensive cleaning schedule for all areas.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local health and safety regulations.

Implement and sustain strategies to elevate the brand and exceed owner and guest expectations.
- Introduce eco-friendly cleaning practices and products where feasible.
Inventory and Budget Management:

Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment.

Develop and monitor budgets for the housekeeping department.
-
Negotiate contracts with suppliers for cost-effective purchasing.
-
Track and report on departmental expenses, staying within budget.
-
Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
Customer Service:

Address and resolve guest and resident complaints and concerns promptly and professionally.

Maintain open communication with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.

Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest and resident satisfaction.
-
Gather feedback to continuously improve housekeeping services.
-
Organize and oversee special cleaning projects and deep cleaning schedules.
Administrative Duties:

Prepare and maintain accurate records of housekeeping activities, inspections, and inventory.

Create and maintain detailed reports on staff performance, budgeting, and facility conditions.

Ensure all housekeeping staff are trained on and adhere to company policies and procedures.

Stay updated on industry trends and implement best practices in housekeeping management.

Develop emergency response protocols and ensure all staff are trained in these procedures.
Non-Essential Functions:

Participate in cross-departmental meetings to enhance overall facility operations.

Assist with special events and functions as needed, ensuring cleanliness and setup meet standards.

Support other departments with housekeeping expertise during peak times or special projects.

Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and service providers.
Education and/or Experience
-
High School diploma or GED required.
- College degree preferred.

Hospitality, Club, or resort industry housekeeping experience.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

Exposure to loud noise levels and chemicals.
- Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping, and pulling.
- Continuous standing and walking.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
