JOB DESCRIPTION
LEAD PV INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN
The Lead PV Installer’s role is to execute the vision of a PV project’s designers in the safest manner, and with the highest level of quality and artisanship. Role is primarily residential with periodic commercial/utility scale projects. Install teams work 4 days per week, with opportunity for overtime.
RESPONSIBILITIES
PV Installation
- Assist Apprentice/Journeyman and crew in some or all of the following areas: system layout, roof penetrations, racking assembly, and module placement.
- Lead team of 2-3 rackers on roof.
- Ensure the high levels of safety ,accuracy, and quality of work.
- Efficiently communicate needs (material, equipment, and information) to Project Manager.
- Solicit approval and procure additional materials when necessary.
- Follow all OSHA and company safety policies and maintain job site safety at all times.
- Only operate on elements of the system you are licensed to handle.
- Represent company to clients, general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers in a courteous, professional manner at all times.
Communication
- Track incurred expenses by job and submit all purchase receipts to PM’s.
- Recognize and identify project challenges and create solutions.
- Identify successful and unsuccessful project elements, and make recommendations to PM for future process improvements.
Tool Management
- Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and perform basic maintenance when necessary.
- Fill out and submit weekly vehicle reports if truck lead, and note issues with vehicles to PM’s in a timely manner.
Personal Development
- Continually improve on understanding of current solar and electrical code.
- Pursue professional development through continuing and self education, and communicate personal goals to management if company can be of assistance.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $44.00 per hour
