Position Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced HVAC Service Manager to join our team for a position in the New York, NY area.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assumes direct ownership of service operations to achieve high-level profitability, including management of supervisory, technical and dispatch staff, ensuring high productivity and superior technical and customer service.
- Ensure consistency and excellent service through oversight of daily routine activity, maintenance scheduling and operational requirements, including new equipment start-ups and warranty issues.
- Evaluates work load and available resources to best utilize manpower and maximize profits.
- Oversees training and development of all staff, including but not limited to: performance management, technical training, proper use of tools and materials, safety programs, compliance assessments and technician debriefings, providing guidance and/or corrective action as necessary.
- Resolves customer complaints to ensure customer satisfaction and issues regarding service technician performance.
- Ensures that materials and equipment are ordered and dispensed for scheduled jobs, and schedules repairs for parts to ensure minimal down-time in job completion.
- Generates reports and measures of departmental operations as well as records on all inventory, tools and vehicles. Reviews reports with management.
- Reviews and ensures accuracy of all billing, time sheet records, purchase invoices and job related expenses.
- Prepares and presents quotes for add-on/replacement of equipment, preventive services and/or remediation, on request.
- Ensures budgeting guidelines are met by prioritizing expenditures, assists in the preparation of capital and operations budgets, and works closely with the accounting department to deliver on all client receivables and supplier payments.
- All other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- 5-years as a Commercial HVAC Service Manager managing a sizeable staff.
- Familiarity with the service and installation side of the business.
- Previous experience working with HVAC/ controls equipment.
- Strong technical and strategic planning skills.
· Excellent customer relations, computer and verbal and written communications skills.
- Goal oriented, self-starter with demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work independently.
· Knowledge of Tridium controls products a plus.
· Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $150,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
