Reports directly to the Director. Provides administrative and operational support.
Work Schedule: 19 hours per week
Shifts: Shifts will vary between 6:00am-4:00pm
Supervises: No supervisory role
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist guests by providing information and services or directing guests to the appropriate source for assistance.
Performs noncomplex general clerical, word processing and office support duties.
Act as frontline customer service representative for RI Office of the Postsecondary Commissioner.
Operate copy machine, computer, camera, projector and other office equipment.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite such as Word and Excel
Act in a courteous and responsive way to guest needs and inquiries.
Perform related duties contributing to the smooth and efficient operation of the office.
Undergo training to proctor certification exams to test takers
Physical/Mental Requirements
· Constantly use manual dexterity, follow directions, and adhere to detail.
· Frequent sitting, standing, speaking, seeing, hearing, and listening.
· Frequently use eye/hand coordination.
Qualifications
Record of providing excellent customer service. High School Diploma or equivalent required; experience working in an educational and/or office environment, utilizing computer and copy machine effectively preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required. Strong organizational and time management skills.
Pay rate: $18/hour
