Assistant Construction Project Manager
We are seeking a skilled Construction Assistant Project Manager to assist in Ochoa Construction projects and to assist the Project Management team in managing various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction assistant project management working in construction. We are looking for a candidate who is interested in growing in the construction industry towards a project manager and who is a self-starter that is highly motivated with a go getter mindset.
Duties
- Assist all aspects of construction projects from planning to completion
- Preconstruction
- Coordinate and oversee construction workers and subcontractors
- Communicate and coordinate all inspections and permits for the project.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Review and interpret project blueprints
- Monitor construction sites to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Communicate project progress to stakeholders
- Assist in negotiating contracts with vendors and subcontractors
Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and other construction management software
- Required minimum experience of 1-2 years working in construction on commercial projects
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Organized and time management
- Ability to read blueprints accurately
- Strong time management skills to meet project deadlines
