Job Description:
Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Perform daily accounting tasks, including general ledger entries, and account reconciliations.

Support month-end and year-end closing processes.

Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.

Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for financial discrepancies.

Collaborate with the finance team to streamline and improve accounting processes.

Maintain accurate and organized financial records.

Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.

Participate in special projects and assignments as required.

Perform cost accounting functions, including job costing, analyzing production costs, and preparing cost reports.

Monitor and analyze cost variances, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.

Assist in the development and implementation of cost accounting systems and procedures.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or a related field.

Up to 3 years of experience in accounting or a related role.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Must be a resident of the Boston metro area or willing to relocate.
