The general job responsibilities and duties of the Church Financial Secretary includes record, deposit and allocate all funds received in a timely, thorough, and confidential manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Produce individual charitable gift report summaries of all donations received during a calendar year and mail them in the appropriate fiscal time.
- Establish a procedure to collect and record funds received other than through regular offerings, including funds received by mail or electronically.
- Oversee weekly tithes, counting money, posting, reviewing, and deposits, memorial/honoree contributions
- Provides reports to the finance committee
- Produce and Maintain annual budgets
- Manage Receivables & Payables
- Accurate financial record keeping
- Customer Service - internal & external
- Prepare monthly reports to the Financial Committee
- Develop working knowledge of Church Database
- Assists with Bulletin and Social Media
Qualifications
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Quickbooks, Realm
Education and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Preferred qualifications include a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a finance role in a church or business environment.
Hours
Could be 8-4 M-Th or 9-2 M-F.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 24 per week
