PRODUCT MANAGER
Job Summary:
As a Product Manager, you will collaborate closely with various teams, including designers, suppliers, manufacturers, and sales, to ensure the successful creation, development, and launch of high-quality products that meet the needs and preferences of our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain comprehensive project summaries, communicating all program details to agents/factories, including timing, actions, consumer testing, sample requests, and product information like color specifications, size, and fabric details. This also serves as a repository for change requests.
- Manage approximately 20 projects daily, depending on the season.
- Evaluate all incoming samples for design, color, sizing, and quality.
- Effectively organize and label all samples during the development process.
- Coordinate and expedite product samples for upcoming sales meetings.
- Collaborate with the art department to facilitate the uploading of artwork for factory development.
- Provide links to artwork and spec sheets for the art department and overseas team.
- Review artwork for color limitations before sending and send prototypes or color standards to the factory when necessary.
- Collaborate closely with the packaging department to ensure accurate packaging.
- Work closely with the Quality Control Manager to ensure proper product testing at designated labs.
- Coordinate with the production department to ensure accurate ship dates communicated to the factory.
- Review purchase orders and production forms for accuracy.
- Assist with sample reviews, organization, and requested tasks.
- Manage and meet all deadlines, licensor approvals, and retailer requirements for each project.
- Identify and address potential problems, providing solutions as needed.
- Maintain effective communication with overseas teams.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Textile Design, Product Development, Merchandising, or a related field.
- Proven experience in product development, preferably within the home textiles industry.
- In-depth understanding of textile materials, production processes, and quality control standards.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and a strong eye for design aesthetics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices and industry trends is a plus.
In-office work required for a minimum of 4 days per week.
