Our company is currently in need of a Journeyperson Plumber to install, repair and maintain our plumbing systems. We expect you to have in-depth knowledge of plumbing systems, tools and code requirements. You will have to work with a team of other plumbers, fitters and labourers to ensure that all plumbing systems are operating efficiently. In order to succeed in this role, you should be skilled at problem-solving and have an eye for details. You will be responsible for installing sinks, toilets, water lines and supply piping for residential and commercial buildings. The work can be physically demanding, so we expect you to be physically fit and able to follow safety procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Implement a quality control system, or other relevant systems, to ensure the standard of work and the quality of product or service is maintained.
- Complete tasks assigned by a supervisor when given conflicting orders from a customer .
- Determine and analyze the cause of problems related to quality of products and services .
- Inform customers about plumbing products and services that are available.
- Inspect work area for indications of unsafe conditions, such as worn tools and equipment.
- Oversee daily operations, including scheduling and assigning employees to various tasks.
- Discuss customer requests and concerns with a supervisor before action is taken.
- Review work completed by employees and inspect work area for safety issues.
- Supervise entry level or inexperienced employees on the job site.
- Train new employees in plumbing skills, policies and procedures.
