Duties:
-Work 2:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. with an experienced teacher to supervise young children year-round (not a just a summer job)
- Provide a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes learning and development.
- Teach Christian faith and lead prayers before snacks
- Foster social and emotional development through positive interactions and guidance.
- Incorporate physical education activities to promote gross motor skills.
- Provide individualized attention
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the classroom.
- Collaborate with parents to support child welfare and address any concerns or questions.
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and understanding to meet the diverse needs of young learners.
- Creativity in developing engaging and interactive learning experiences.
- Ability to manage a classroom environment while maintaining a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
- Organizational skills to manage materials and resourses.
-Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and stand for periods of time, including outdoor recess
Please note that experience working in a daycare or similar childcare setting is preferred, but not required.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
