The Fleet Manager will facilitate seamless distribution and collection of textile products in a timely manner ensuring customer satisfaction through coordinated efforts of the production team and ever-changing business demands by leading the team with efficiency and calculated precision.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement fleet management policies and procedures
- Monitor fleet performance and efficiency
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance and repairs creating logs and ensuring pre/post trip walk-arounds are documented; Scheduling regular maintenance on all vehicles; track inventory of spare parts and supplies
- Manage driver schedules and efficient routes; Developing methods to decrease costs and improve efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with NY/NYC & NJ DOT safety regulations and standards
- Optimize fleet operations to reduce costs and improve productivity
- Establishing efficient routes and transportation schedules.
- Managing vehicle licensure and registration.
- Ensuring all fleet members have proper license and up to date training.
- Monitoring Drivers to ensure adherence to schedules and proper driving practices.
- Providing reports on schedules, maintenance, and fleet progress.
- Ensure that drivers follow their designated working hours.
- Manage drivers’ attendance and performance
- Securely store driver records & logs in accordance with laws & regulations
- Oversee the recruitment and selection process, including conducting interviews and collaborating on hiring decisions
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations
- Follow the most recent state and government legislative codes, laws, and prerequisites
- Identifying issues, creating or providing solutions, take actions to ensure that guest- related issues are resolved promptly once received, and provide the best possible outcome for guest satisfaction
- Knowledgeable and multi-year experience of NY/NYC & NJ DOT and OSHA regulations
Job Requirements
- At least 4 years previous plant Fleet Management/Logistics operations experience required
- Ability to work varied schedule to accommodate 24-hour operation
- Must be fluent in Spanish
- Working knowledge of other languages helpful
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and concentrate on detail in a fast-paced work environment
- Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks
- Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to work in a team environment and welcome feedback and direction
- Capable of standing for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to frequently reach, bend, stoop, climb up and down stairs, walk, and carry multiple objects
- Ability to stay organized and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated success managing Fleet operations/logistics in a high-volume time sensitive industry
- Ability to persevere through challenges with tenacity and a positive attitude
- Insatiable curiosity, eagerness to question the status quo, and desire to share knowledge
- Exceptional attention to detail and deep sense of pride in your work
- Ability to proactively balance multiple time-sensitive tasks and anticipate next steps

Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to lift, push or pull 50 pounds
- Proficiency in MS Office, working knowledge of Google Suite and possess basic computer skills
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred; High school or equivalent (Required)
- Proven experience as a Fleet Manager or similar role
- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions
- Effective communication skills to interact with drivers, vendors, and internal teams
License/Certification:
- Relevant Advanced trainings and certifications preferred
- Certification in Fleet Management (e.g., Certified Automotive Fleet Manager) – Nice to have
- Experience with telematics systems for tracking vehicles - Nice to have
- Familiarity with environmental regulations related to fleet operations - Nice to have
