The Manager of Site Operations Systems position is a managerial level position that oversees the operational systems for the Atlanta facility. This position requires a comprehensive knowledge of operational systems, policies and procedures as well as the ability to effectively recommend and implement them. It directs a team of skilled and non-skilled professionals where safety is the main priority. It requires consistent execution of company-wide processes.
The Manager of Site Operations Systems is constantly looking for ways to improve the site and team as well as meet industry and company standards.
Day in the Life of this Role:
Use of strong technical/systems acumen in an ecommerce environment. Strong sense of urgency and servant leader type personality, always willing to be hands on when needed, and strategy when needed. WMS specializing in people that do Wave Planning, shipping, receiving, and other systems. Will be the leader in optimizing systems and processes to ensure repeatable and sustainable processes. A competent technical leader, that is a good person and loves to be surrounded by other good people! Good follow through with daily and project related needs. Understands the criticality of the systems and the impact of good mentorship and support is important in this role. Some view of average day:
- Working with logistics planning and set wave orders of the day
- Review of eCommerce and Production/Assembly
- Select the orders to process for Operations
- Receive and track good coming in
- Receipt and ensure all paperwork is done, vendor payments made
- Slotting of goods to optimize
- Work with systems that orders flow from and invoiced correctly in Oracle and SAP
- Roll out improvement and testing to ensure all linked
- Production order and batch order dates all put together and assembled.
- Quality control
- Utilize strong tech foundation and good leader and mentorship
- Work collaboratively with other leaders to ensure compliance and effectiveness
- Pick Tickets management and communications
- Lead, manage process and great the group and metrics where they need to be.
- Manage 8-10 Wave Specialists
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Regularly coordinates with Head of Production, Head of Warehouse, and Head of
Outbound and their teams to optimize operations through waving decisions.
Coordination with site leader on when and where to use site-specific customization
should include central support when there is a need to deviate from enterprise
standardization
Responsible for waving operations, including load optimization, in the facility from ticket allocation to printing of picktickets.
Develops and maintains KPI tools and tracking including capacity, volume, etc.
Repsonsible for building optimization with slotting and task management in the facility.
Coordinates with Central Systems Support for Continuous Improvement activities, as
well as system rollouts, testing, and development.
Ensure execution of business systems reports and activities
Deployment of staff based upon site priorities (may change with seasonal work)
Prioritization of systematic operations tasks at the site
Provide SME knowledge for system planning
Make sure that site goals, processes and activities stay in alignment with the enterprise
Look for opportunities to continuously improve (and socialize learnings with peers at
other sites)
Ability to help lead implementation of new automation that will interface with systems.
Full ownership of execution and identifying improvement opportunities of the WMS, WES
and other supporting warehouse systems

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Communication, Management
or related field preferred
Ten years of experience in facilities/warehousing required
Five years of experience in a managerial role located in a facility/warehouse
environment required
Experience in wave planning and optimization strongly preferred
Strong technical aptitude and knowledge of operational systems
Excellent people management and communication skills
Experience in an automated warehouse environment is required
Experience in ERP and WMS systems are required
Experience with WES (warehouse execution system) is highly preferred
Experience with Oracle, Logfire (newly named Oracle WMS Cloud), SAP, and/or New
Dawn (WES) are a plus.
Strong problem solving and negotiation skills
Strong understanding of operational activities and systems knowledge
Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls
Proficient in Microsoft Office
