Director of Construction Procurement
A northwest side Indianapolis construction company is seeking a Director of Construction Procurement to purchase construction materials for their projects. This individual would need to have had in the field experience preferably with water, wastewater, concrete, rebar, civil machinery and related materials.
Director of Construction Procurement Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery of goods and services
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities and pricing
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing and terms
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements
- Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of orders
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns that arise
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier information
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in procurement
Director of Construction Procurement Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field
- 10+ years of procuring experience in construction, especially in the markets of water, wastewater, concrete, rebar, and heavy civil machinery and materials construction
- Strong knowledge of materials management, scheduling, contract negotiation, and production planning
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
