Job Overview:
The Program Manager will spearhead the "Black Parents Healing for Thriving Families" project, driving its strategic direction, implementation, and evaluation to ensure it meets its objectives of providing trauma-informed parenting support, strengthening family resiliency, and enhancing access to mental health services. This role requires a leader adept at navigating community dynamics, fostering partnerships, and leading a team dedicated to the well-being and empowerment of Black families in San Joaquin County. The Black Parents Healing for Thriving Families project encompasses two programs: Family Healing Circles & Empowered Women of Excellence
Duties:
- Guiding the strategic direction and operational execution of project
- Inclusive Leadership & Management of team
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Grant Writing
- Ensure adherence to internal and external grant stipulations, judiciously managing the project's finances and resources to fulfill its aim.
- Systematic Evaluation of proram successes, improvement, and expansion areas.
- Build Strong Relationships with local organizations, notably Your Inner Peace Counseling and Wellness, to broaden the project's impact and enhance service accessibility.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Health, Public Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in program management, preferably in non-profit or community-based organizations.
- Demonstrated success in leading culturally responsive services and programs, particularly serving the Black community.
- Strong leadership skills, with a history of fostering team growth and program excellence.
- Excellent communication and partnership-building abilities, with experience engaging diverse community stakeholders.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles and practices, and a commitment to holistic community health.
- A demonstrated commitment to meeting a high bar and a history of getting things done even in the face of obstacles.
- Experience managing multiple projects and ability to oversee a cadre of staff, consultants, and volunteers.
- A Knowledge of trauma, ACEs and healing practices.
- Experience translating materials in “community language”.
- Models and inspires accountability.
- Have a passion for serving people.
