Pivotal ABA, is currently seeking hardworking college graduates to join our growing home-based behavioral health organization. We are looking for energetic and passionate people to join our team implementing interventions that have been scientifically proven to increase both socialization & communication, while improving the behavior for those in our care.
Focus on learning what works best to improve students' socio-emotional development and academic success in elementary, middle, and high school, concentrating particularly on improving student outcomes in Special Education.
Get technical training and supervision in the high demand area of the behavioral sciences. We are currently training Behavior Technicians in a hybrid model consisting of online coursework and hands on experience in the homes of those we serve.
Pivotal ABA, will be there to guide you through the certification process that could ultimately give you the title of Registered Behavior Technician. RBTs are responsible for aiding the BCBA in implementing behavior reduction and skill acquisition treatment plans.
The Registered Behavior Technician must have an understanding of autism and how to treat the deficits and behaviors associated with the diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorders using applied behavior analysis (ABA) standards and practices.
This is a part-time position, with hours typically worked on weekdays after school and/or weekends. You will serve as an essential member of the team working directly to enhance the client's and their families' skills. New cases open all the time with immediate need cases in Fort Lee, West Caldwell, & Millburn.
- Learn to implement behavioral plans designed by BCBA/LBA in clients' homes across Northern New Jersey
- Develop skills in one on one in-home and community-based Applied Behavioral Analysis therapy
- Master collecting data to monitor the progress and effectiveness of the individualized treatment plan and report progress
- Build valuable high tech skills that are highly in demand in clinics, schools, and other programs for the disabled
Qualifications
- Access to reliable transportation, local travel required
- At a minimum requires a bachelor's degree in education, psychology, or related field such as Applied Behavioral Analysis, Behavioral Sciences, Child Development, Child Psychology
- The NJDOE employs a rigorous approval process to ensure that all service providers are appropriately licensed/certified, have participated in a Criminal History Review
